I really enjoy this mouse. I’ve been using a trackball mouse for ages, but it’s been uncomfortable on my wrist. I love the economic shape, optimal weight, adjustable dpi is right at your fingertips. The software is easy to use. This mouse was worth every penny! Note: I don’t really play first person shooters so I’m not using it to it’s limits so I can’t say for sure there’s any problems… I have experienced none though. Great mouse!

So first and formost, the mouse really is 1000Hz, and has options for 250, and 500Hz as well using the Lenovo Legion software on their website (not included with the mouse which is silly). You could in theory go lower if you use the SweetLow mouse driver but why would you want to do that? I run it at 1000Hz and it tracks very well. The DPI settings are completely customizable, and so are the two buttons under the wheel (you can program Macro’s if you want). All in all it’s a decent mouse for the price, and that’s how I rated it, based on the price it was sold for, which for the price, you do get a lot of neat features including RGB. The lower RGB zone when in rainbow mode does have a bubbly like motion that’s animated, so it’s actually a pretty cool effect. Personally I keep mine just on red though as it matches my color scheme. Now he’s some of the cons, in which case the cheaper prices does rear its head, but not a deal breaker, and is why I like the mouse still. First con is the comfort. The ergonomics are there, but your thumb nearly rests under your index finger, and this actually isn’t entirely comfortable. Compared to a Logitech M500 mouse which I used to daily drive for years, the thumb is in a much more comfortable position. Still, you could in theory modify the mouse to move your thumb so it’s not a big deal. Second con, look at the pictures. It collects dust off the mouse pad like a magnet. I have had some mice do this, but once again, comparing to the M500 (which was a cheaper mouse), does not collect dust around the slip pads like this. It’s as if the glue seeps out a little and becomes a dust magnet. Not sure why but you’ll want to clean it. Also the optical sensor area gets dust trapped, and you may occasionally need to use compressed air to clean it out. It should have a lens that’s flush so dust can’t go inside, but alas it does. And the third con, the weights. The trap door does not sit flush and actually goes beyond the slip pad (also seen in the picture), and this causes the mouse to not glide so smooth over the mouse pad, and does scrape a little at times until you recenter the weight cover. It’s held on by magnets only and it only grips from the middle, not from the edges, so it likes to pivot around in place like a wobbly top. That’s a pretty bad design, but if you take your time to center it, it doesn’t really knock lose on its own unless you pick up the mouse and slam it down when gaming. It should lock in place in my opinion. But for the price I’m not going to complain. All in all it’s not a bad mouse, and the optical sensor used is fairly decent, it works well and tracks VERY good.

I prefer to purchase gaming mice, even though I do not play games. They just tend to be the best and fastest mice on the market. I have at least a dozen from name makers like Razer, Asus, and now Lenovo. This may be my favorite, though I change over from time to time. It feels great in the hand, has a perfect weight (not too light or too heavy). Expensive, but can be great value on sale.

This mouse replaced my failing Razer Mamba. I was going to use it as a temporary replacement, but it’s a keeper! Feels great, works great with all of the high-end graphics programs I use daily, and it looks nice. Make sure you down load the driver from the Lenovo website. (https:/support.lenovo.com/legion_m500) Custom set response, weight, extra buttons, (if you want it fancy) 5 different effects for 3 different areas of custom color lighting. I really like it. It impressed me enough to actually write a review.

Looking for a very competitive gaming mouse that will give you more edge when playing games in just the fraction of the price. It improve the response time of my PC while gaming unlike before, i usually have lags when aiming.

I have gone through dozens of mice trying to find one that’s shaped enough for my hands, that will also allow me to reach the buttons. From mini Gaming mice to more high end models, I have had suggestions, comments, and samples, with most being either are too wide, or too long, poor quality, and so on. I have a modified Palm/Finger grip, or something…and occasionally pick up the mouse too. So, I have been expecting less and less, the more I look. I was ready to make my own mouse. A good mouse needs to fit like a good pair of shoes. If they aren’t comfortable the first time you try them on, they probably aren’t going to be later.Enter the M500. I expected an OEM gaming mouse, a few frills, and it looks like it too. Lenovo has had good products, a little pricey, with poor support and/or software. It’s smooth tracking and quality switches are typical of more pricey mice, and it’s got a funky ego shape that really works. In fact your thumb ends up where it normally is as you hold your hands relaxed: slightl/almost under your index finger. Plus it gives a slight tilt of your wrist too, which means less fatigue later on. Most people who know nothing of ergonomics are not going to like it at first, just like tented splitkeyboards, but it works.Pros:Tracking and tuning are simple, and workErgonomic shape (it’s not flat)Great for smaller/medium hands.Simple software supports macros, surface tuning, and some colour settings.Real grip sidesConfigurable LEDs that don’t overglowLight weight (but a single weight is included).Quality switches and sensorFlexible and light braided cable.Great for everyday use too!(Possible) Cons:Light weight might turn some off, or feel “cheap” even with the include weight.Larger hands might find this an odd shapeNo track record on a first gaming mouse for Lenovo.Lighting isn’t so bright (brightness settings are limited).Software only has basics, and might be too simple for some.Ergo shape might turn off more “traditional” gamers.Could have more buttons.
